PERSPECTIVE

Software was installed. Intelligence participates.

Every previous enterprise technology was installed. It automated a task, stored a record, moved a message. It did not decide anything. That distinction is the whole of the change now underway.

What we are not arguing

NOT

That human judgement becomes less important. Increased machine capability makes the question of who holds authority more consequential, not less.

NOT

That this transition is fast or inevitable in its details. The direction looks clear; the specifics are unsettled, which is precisely why they deserve experiments rather than predictions.

NOT

That governance is a brake. Structure is what makes it safe to delegate anything worth delegating.
